From KMI Airport, Nelspruit (IATA Code: KMQ)

SA Airlink is the biggest operator with the most frequent flights. Nationwide Airlines, SA Express and Interlink Airlines also serve the airport. Nelair handles charter flights. All the major car rental companies are represented at the airport, including MCLI Member, Avis. Car Rental bookings are essential over holiday periods and strongly recommended at all other times.

Metered taxis are expensive and must be booked prior to arrival. Busses operate on a pre-booked basis for large groups only. For more information, go to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport's website.

  1. Drive out of the airport.
  2. First T-Junction: Left. Keep straight for about 11 km
  3. At the fourway stop, you can turn right to Nelspruit past Kamagugu or keep straight for the N4 over the bridge. We give directions for the N4
  4. Right at the N4 T-Junction. Turn right for Nelspruit. Beware of fast oncoming traffic as you turn. Beware of speed enforcement.
  5. Drive for about 22 km. As you enter Nelspruit, keep to the 60km speed limit
  6. Drive past Mr Price Home on your left. Then follow the directions given from Landmark 1 for driving from Maputo.

From Johannesburg

Take the N12 to Witbank. There are no toll roads on this route. Then follow the directions from Witbank

Take the N4 direction Bronkhorstspruit / Witbank. The Diamond Hill Toll Plaza fees are available here .

Directions from Witbank

  1. Follow the N4 to Middelburg > Belfast > Machadodorp > Nelspruit. There are two Toll Plazas, one at Middelburg and one at Machado Dorp. Click on the name of the Toll Plaza for the toll fees.
  2. Landmark 1: Halls & Sons - Just before you enter Nelspruit, you will pass the Halls & Son fruit stalls, Wimpy and Shell garage on your right. Keep straight
  3. Landmark 2: Crossings Super Spar - After you've entered Nelspruit, you will see a slipway to Crossings Super Spar on your left. Keep straight.
  4. Landmark 3: ABSA Bank - Look for the ABSA Building on your right on top of the hill. It has a big yellow MTN billboard on it's side. Keep going straight towards it.
  5. Traffic Light: Right - At the corner of the ABSA building, turn right at the traffic light into Paul Kruger Street.
  6. Keep straight past Nedbank on your right - Swerve with the road into Ferreira Street past FNB and Nedbank on your right.
  7. First Right after Nedbank at Ocean Basket into Streak Street - MCLI House is on the first floor on the right at the next corner, Ehmke and Streak Street. The entrance is in Ehmke Street.

Directions from Maputo

  1. Take the EN4 to Resanno Garcia / Komatipoort. There are two toll roads, the Maputo and Moamba Toll Plaza. Click on the name for the relevant Toll Fees. Refer to our Border Crossing Made Easy pamphlet under the Downloads Menu for information regarding crossing the border. Be aware of the border posts operational hours and long waiting times over holiday periods and ensure you have South African currency at hand for the South African toll roads.
  2. After going through the border, keep on the N4 towards Malelane. You must pay in South African Rand for the Nkomazi Toll Plaza. Go straight to Nelspruit.
  3. Landmark 1: Mr. Price Home - Upon entering Nelspruit, drive past Mr Price Home on your left.
  4. Landmark 2: Sasol - Drive past the Sasol Fuel Station on your right. Continue straight but keep in the left hand lane
  5. Landmark 3: Sanlam - Keep Left . Continue straight. The road forks. It doesn't matter which turn you take but keep left
  6. Traffic Light: Left. Turn left into Paul Kruger Street. ABSA is on your right or behind you
  7. Landmark 4: Pinnacle Building / FNB will be on your right . Go straight past the traffic light into Ferreira Street.
  8. Drive past Nedbank on your right. Turn right at the next corner at Ocean Basket into Streak Street - MCLI House is on the first floor of the next corner, Ehmke and Streak Street. The entrance is in Ehmke Street.
