Chief Operating Officer - Barbara Mommen

Barabara Mommen joined MCLI in October 2006 as MCLI's Chief Operating Officer from LCBT - Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism.

Prior to that, Barbara had a background in education and worked in the KaNgwane Administration and the Premier's Office in the Mpumalanga Government.

Barbara obtained a Certificate in Development Management from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom, followed by a short attachment to the Cabinet Office in London.

Barbara managed a School Development Project for a major coal corporation and has done freelance consulting work for various government agencies focussing on the further education sector.

Her experience in the public sector and in non-profit operating environments and the associated challenges these organisations face makes her the ideal person to lead MCLI's operations.

Barbara currently heads all MCLI and MFLF Events & Forum Planning and Project Management, as well as a variety of other corporate responsibilities.
