About Us

Freitan SA was founded in 1983 to provide a door-to-door airfreight service between South Africa and Germany. Since then, the company has grown significantly and presently provides a complete global logistics service to various organisations in Southern Africa and internationally.

In 1985, Freitan SA became a member of the Tesuco Group of Companies, which in addition to freight forwarding, has interests in the engineering, automotive, telecommunications, industrial and general export trading industries in Europe, Asia and Southern Africa. Freitan SA is today recognised as one of the top customs brokers and international forwarders in the country. The company has also consistently been placed in the leading IATA South Africa rankings and is in fact one of the largest IATA agents operating in Africa.

In 2000, Freitan SA gained access to an international transport logistics network spanning six continents by forging a strategic alliance with Nippon Express. With access to Nippon Express’ network and with offices in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban we provide a comprehensive service to organisations in Southern Africa.

Recognising that customers have different requirements, we adapt our services to meet clients’ particular needs. Our personnel are highly skilled and experienced in various industries, ensuring that clients receive the best advice, prompt and efficient assistance, and professional logistics management of their projects.
