Introduction to MAERSK Mozambique

Mozambique is located on the South Eastern coast of Africa with a 2500 km coastline. The country borders with South Africa and Swaziland in the south, Zimbabwe and Malawi to the west and Tanzania to the north.

Maersk Mozambique Lda opened its first office in 1997 in Beira, following the Beira Corridor, gateway to Zimbabwe and Malawi. In 1998 an office in Nacala was opened and the head quarter was transferred to Maputo later same year.

A growing number of dedicated English speaking employees serve the promising Mozambican market as well as the important corridors to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Malawi. All offices are fully computerised, and Maputo, Beira and Nacala offices are on-line.

Maersk Line has a regular, named day service calling Maputo, Beira and Nacala from where we link up with our global network.
